Experience of the day….we received a call on a Cabrio washer today that was not draining. After careful examination of the unit we found that it had a bad drain pump assembly. While in the process of replacing the drain pump we also noticed that the washer had an extremely foul odor coming from inside the tub area. After pulling the inside wash basket we found 4-5 articles of clothing lodged underneath the basket. his clothing had obviously been in there for weeks if not months.This causes the machine to always retain moisture in the tub as the articles of clothing are always wet since they are not actually in the basket itself and are spun dry with the rest of the clothing at the end of the spin cycle.These machines can be notorious for throwing clothing up and over the basket which end up between the basket and outer tub and will almost always find there way to underneath the basket at some point. Please try not to overload these units as this is the main cause of this issue
